Join us at The Ensworth School in Nashville, Tennessee July 9–12, 2008 for the sixth annual iSummit conference. We will explore ways of enriching our communities through service learning and environmental awareness by using the educational technology opportunities made possible when teachers and students are using laptops in the classroom.

The Coalition of Lighthouse Schools and Apple are proud to sponsor the 6th annual iSummit, which focuses on three critical strands: Leadership, Learning, and Infrastructure. Opportunities will be provided for you to meet with your colleagues to share knowledge and discuss common opportunities and challenges as related to one-to-one learning in each of these teams.
Many individuals from one-to-one learning computing schools report that the bigger conferences they attend often lose their relevance because there are few sessions dedicated to one-to-one computing. iSummit is focused on you and your type of school, regardless of the type of position you hold at your school. We encourage you to send a team of individuals so you can best synthesize the information from the conference for the best advantage to your school.
Whether you are new to iSummit, are an experienced iSummit attendee or have never even heard of the Lighthouse Coalition, this is your opportunity to meet with colleagues who share your challenges, your successes, and your knowledge. It is a chance to learn something new, meet new contacts and friends and discuss common opportunities as related to one-to-one learning at independent schools. This year’s iSummit promises to be the best one yet – don’t miss it!
Note: Thursday July 10th will be administrator’s day. In addition to the Learning and I.T. sessions, all sessions and workshops for the Leadership strand will be held on that day only.
Hotel Information
We have rooms blocked at the Green Hills Hampton Inn, July 9, 10 and 11, at the rate of $135.pp, plus applicable taxes. Each individual attending will need to call 615-777-0001 to reserve a room and they need to mention that they are attending the Coalition of Lighthouse Schools iSummit 2008 Conference.
The rooms are blocked until Thursday, June 12 at noon. After that time, the rooms not reserved will revert back to the hotel for general sale.
